GOOD NEIGHBOR INITIATIVE
Ridge Baseball Club understands that it is a member of the Basking Ridge community and that the interests of township residents in and around the RBC Complex should be respected by RBC, its members, and its visitors. As a result, RBC strives to be a good neighbor and has taken a number of steps as part of its Good Neighbor Initiative to minimize the impact of RBC's operations on our neighbors. These include, but are not limited to:
- Regularly advising members and visitors that parking is only permitted in the RBC parking lots and not on any neighborhood streets.
- Prohibiting noisemakers at RBC events.
- In Spring 2024, installed noise mitigation curtains at the batting cages to reduce batting cage noise.
- Optimizing the scheduling of games and practices, when practicable, to decrease traffic on Valley Road and congestion at the RBC Complex.
- Reducing the number of early morning games to reduce noise on weekend mornings.
- Reducing the number of tournament games hosted at the RBC Complex.
- Complying with township's time/date requirements regarding the use of field lights.
- Limiting the use of a public address system to (i) opening day ceremonies, (ii) championship weekend, and (iii) medical or other urgent emergencies.
RBC also has a dedicated email address (community@ridgebaseballclub.com) for our neighbors and other members of the community to contact us should any concerns arise regarding our operations.
