welcome Message

Welcome to the Ridge Baseball Club (RBC) website. RBC is a 501(c)(3) qualified not-for-profit organization whose goal is to help young people in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and surrounding communities learn to play and enjoy the game of baseball. To accomplish this goal, we offer various baseball programs to youth from ages 4 1/2 – 18, and to players of all skill levels, from beginner to experienced travel-ball player. We firmly believe that acquiring the skills of baseball, learning how to be a good teammate, and experiencing the highs and lows of victory and defeat will help the boys and girls in our community grow as human beings and mature into better adults. For more information on the programs we offer, please check out the Our Programs tab of our website.

RBC would not be the success that it is without the tireless efforts of many volunteers who donate countless hours of their time to the children in our community and our organization. Whether it is as an RBC Board Member, a Manager, a Coach, or other team volunteer, I am very proud that we have so many fantastic people in our organization willing to give their time to our children. I would like to encourage anyone and everyone to volunteer and get involved. The volunteer experience is rewarding and you will make a difference.

In addition to the numerous volunteers who have so generously donated their time to RBC, we have also been extremely fortunate to be the beneficiary of significant financial contributions from individuals, as well as corporate donors and sponsors. Please visit our Sponsors page for a list of our current sponsors, and support our sponsors when you shop for goods or services in our community. If you or someone you know would like to make a donation to RBC or become an RBC sponsor, please visit the Donate to RBC page or our Become a Sponsor page for more information.

Your continued generosity is vital for the maintenance of our fields and facilities and to the operation of our programs. RBC is 100% financially responsible for maintaining and improving the RBC Complex. We receive no public funding.

In December 2023, RBC finalized a 20-year extension of our lease of the Complex from Bernards Township through May 2024, with the ability to use our field lights starting April 1st each Spring and in the Fall. We believe this is a huge benefit to current and future generations of boys and girls in Basking Ridge and we are very thankful to our local elected officials for all the time and energy they spent working with us on the lease extension.

2024 will be my final season as President of RBC. I am so proud of what we have accomplished over the past 4 years. I know that I will be leaving RBC in great hands as we move forward over under the new lease and into RBC’s next chapter!

When thinking about the upcoming 2024 season, I’ve given a lot of consideration to the following question: What should RBC as an organization, and we, as parents and adults, be striving for in our young ball players? To me, without a doubt, the answer to that question is ensuring that our players are having fun, being safe, and that each player is doing the best they can. While our kids will win some games and lose others, they will make some great plays and some errors, and they will get some clutch hits but also strikeout, we shouldn’t lose sight of this ultimate goal. So, no matter the outcome of the game, before you congratulate your child for a great hit or critique your child for an error, please remember to tell your child you love them and you love watching them play baseball! That’s what they will remember and that’s all they need to hear to fall in love with the game and keep playing for years to come.

Thank you very much for your continued support of Ridge Baseball Club. I look forward to seeing you at the Complex and on the field in 2024.
